    About

    SmartCharge Tech Incentives are accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation by helping customers switch to smart energy solutions. We are currently offering funds for EV sites to install load management and battery storage technologies. These systems help EV sites balance charging loads, improve efficiency, reduce peak demand, and build reliable, cost-effective infrastructure.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Your EV Charging Site Must:

    • Be participating in the SmartCharge Commercial and/or the EV Phase-In Rate program.
    • Be able to install eligible load management technology capable of balancing, curtailing, or deferring applicant’s EV charging demand on the electric grid.

    What’s Eligible:

    • Load Management Systems (Hardware or Software)
    • Energy Management Systems (Hardware or Software)
    • Battery Integrated Charging
    • On-site Battery Storage

    Documents You Will Need:


    • A load management technology spec sheet with required certifications
    • Invoices for technology installed
    • A single line diagram of installed equipment

    Get Started

    Step 1: Review Eligibility Requirements

    Check the Joint Utility's list of eligible technologies and required certifications.

    Step 2: Complete and Submit Application

    If your technology is eligible, submit an application.

    After job completion, email proof of installation, technology specifications with certifications, and material invoices.
