All ENERGY STAR®-certified air-source heat pump water heaters ≤ 120 gallons are eligible.

The $1,000 instant rebate for eligible heat pump water heaters is offered at participating retailer locations within the Con Edison territory, only for in-store purchases.

Visit VerifyConEdRebates.com to verify your eligibility and receive a coupon code via email or SMS. Present this coupon at the register of a participating store. If the item qualifies, the retailer will deduct $1,000 from the purchase price immediately. Please note that this offer does not permit reimbursement after the purchase has been made.

We recommend trying each of the three validation options (Last Name + Service Address; Phone Number + Address; Electric Account Number + ZIP code) until the system confirms your information. Please enter the service address and electric account number exactly as they appear on your Con Edison electric bill. If the system does not recognize your information, email us for assistance.

No, the instant rebate is currently available only for in-store purchases.

Yes, if an eligible item is out of stock at the store, pre-orders or special orders for pickup or home delivery qualify for the instant rebate, provided the order is placed in-store. You can place your orders with the coupon code at the pro services department. Please note that delivery times may vary based on the product model and location.

To ensure the coupon can be scanned and applied, please check the following:

1. The product must be an ENERGY STAR®-certified air-source heat pump water heater with a capacity of ≤120 gallons. If the water heater does not meet these qualifications, the purchase will not be eligible for the instant rebate. Please note that the Qualified Products List may change over time.

2. You must purchase the equipment in-store, as online purchases are not eligible.

3. Since not all stores may have eligible items in stock, you can place a special order with the rebate at the participating store’s pro services department for either pickup or delivery to your address.

If your chosen heat pump water heater is not available for special order at the retailer’s pro services department, you can work with your selected contractor to purchase a qualifying unit from a participating distributor to receive the $1,000 rebate.

If you have a coupon for a retailer that you haven’t redeemed yet, you can contact Energy Solutions who will assist you in obtaining a new coupon.
