Reliability You Deserve
Con Edison delivers the energy you need to live the life you want. For more than 200 years, we have powered New York City and Westchester, supporting the important financial, health, and transportation systems New Yorkers depend on every day.
New York City is the largest economy in the state and among the largest in the country and the world. That’s why we work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and strategically invest in critical infrastructure, workforce development, and innovative technologies to keep your energy flowing.
And it shows. Your power is the most reliable in the country. In fact, your power is nine times more reliable than the average in the United States. That means your power may go out once every decade, rather than once a year on average in other parts of the country. We want to keep it that way—now and for decades to come.
Our Investment Plan to Build a Stronger, Smarter Grid
We're building tomorrow's grid today—one that will power New York's clean energy future while maintaining the world-class reliability our customers expect. We plan to invest $21 billion over the next three years to modernize vital infrastructure, support local economic growth, and create thousands of jobs across New York City and Westchester County.

Understanding Your Bill & Energy Costs
Your bill is made up of three kinds of charges: the supply and delivery of the power and gas you use, and taxes. Here's what your bill powers.
Take a closer look at how you use energy by logging in to My Account. Track your energy usage trends, get a breakdown of your bill, personalized tips to help you save energy—and money—and much more.
We understand the economic challenges many of our customers face and want to help if you fall behind on your bill payments. In 2024, we provided more than $311 million in bill discounts to 450,000 low-income customers through our Energy Affordability Program. And, we have a plan to help more New Yorkers manage rising energy costs. Our expanded Energy Affordability Program, coming in early 2026, may mean you qualify for bill help, even if you haven’t in the past.
Powering Your New York
The city that never sleeps runs on nonstop energy—and we plan to keep it that way. We serve over 9 million people and 350,000 businesses, including 183,000 small businesses. In 2024, our local spending helped generate $23 billion in economic output, equal to 1% of New York State’s gross domestic product.
We also support the critical economic, health, and transportation networks that keep the region humming, including major airports like JFK and LaGuardia, the MTA subway system, hospitals, and schools.
Our new investments will go directly into your neighborhood infrastructure so we can continue bringing you reliable, resilient, and clean energy—now and for decades to come. This includes $15 million in grants, funded by our investors, to local nonprofits that are advancing environmental equity and closing economic gaps in communities we serve.
