Get a $1,000 instant rebate for a qualified ENERGY STAR–certified* heat pump water heater with up to 120 gallons of storage capacity.
There are two ways to participate: Make your purchase in person at a participating Lowe’s or Home Depot retail location or have your contractor purchase a qualifying unit from a participating distributor.
Equipment must be purchased by December 31, 2025, and reimbursement will not be available after the purchase.
Get Started for Customers
Step 1
Confirm Your Eligibility and Receive Your Coupon.
- • You must have an active Con Edison electric account to be eligible.
- • Scan the QR code on the signage with your phone or visit VerifyConEdRebates.com to complete the verification process.
Step 2
Select Eligible Equipment at a participating Lowe’s or Home Depot.
- • The equipment must be an ENERGY STAR® heat pump water heater with <120 gallons of tank capacity.
- • You must make the purchase at a participating retailer (online sales are not eligible).
Step 3
Present coupon code at retailer while making your purchase.
- • The retailer will scan or manually input your coupon code to apply the $1,000 rebate as a discount.
- • If the eligible equipment you want is out of stock at the store, you can place an order with the coupon through the retailer’s pro services.

- • You can choose to receive the coupon code via email or SMS.
- • If your contractor is making the purchase, have them purchase a qualifying unit from a participating distributor to receive the $1,000 rebate as part of the installation.
